What Do Salvage Yards Do?Salvage yards are typically considered junk heaps where worthless vehicles sit and rot for decades. While it is true that some of the vehicles in a salvage yard are pretty worthless and cannot be used for much more than scrap metal or homes for rodents, there are many vehicles in salvage yards that are incredibly valuable and can be used for a variety of different purposes. The good things this place has going for it are that it's definitely well laid out & organized. Other then that, this place is a waste of time. I've been to MANY other junkyards, including the other Harry's establishments & this place is the worst of them all. Pricing *may* be similar at all of the Harry's establishments, but this place never once has given me a break when buying mass quantities. That may sound like I'm asking too much, but in my own junkyard travels, when I walk up to the counter with A LOT of parts (and I mean A LOT!) The cashier usually doesn't ring up every little tiny thing. Harry's in Pennsburg will charge you for 1 piece or wire if it's attached, 1" of hose if it's attached, or even a tiny trim piece the size of a dime. Harry's in Pennsburg should not be considered a "Junk" yard because they think that their parts are gold. Oh, they keep some cars off to the side & charge more for parts from these cars because they're "special" what's up with that?!?
